I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ

I just wanted to start off to say how blessed I am to be a member of the LDS Church. Like the popular primary song states "I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I KNOW who I am, I KNOW GOD'S PLAN, I'll follow him in faith." Those who are members of the church understand this statement but those who aren't may be wondering how someone could KNOW GOD'S plan etc.

I am currently serving as a missionary for the Lord Jesus Christ. I know this because of the first step of faith I took years ago to read the Book of Mormon, ponder for hours and days and pray in faith seeking to know if it was really true. Just as the introduction of the Book of Mormon states, "Those who pursue this course and ask in faith will gain a testimony of its truth and divinity by the power of the Holy Ghost." I testify that I know this is true, I've experienced it in my life and I see it being experienced in other people's lives. 

Last week we found a family that had known heaps about the church, have Mormon friends and relatives, but this family had never joined the church themselves. One of the daughters shared a story with us about how a couple days ago she had been talking with her mom about becoming a Mormon and lo and behold, we show up to their door the next day. While we taught them about who we are, who we represent and what the restored gospel can do for them, the spirit was so strong and testified to them so deeply that they expressed to us that they already felt that it was true. They're still going to pray for that extra confirmation from Heavenly Father but they had already felt the spirit of the Holy Ghost impress upon their souls that what we have been teaching was true, that the restored gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored. And that it can change their lives. We have been working hard this whole week, tracting, teaching, and attending meetings, we've found so many people that the Lord is preparing for us to teach. But I am so especially grateful that I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ that has been restored for the saints in the Latter-days. Hope you all have a good week!
